Hardwell Slot Game Review
Stake Logic can’t be faulted for their originality in theming their new slot – a 5-reel, 25-pay line game in a classic set-up – around the Dutch DJ and electro-house hero, Hardwell.
Like a good night on the dancefloor, this spinner offers a range of entertainments, with a lock-and-spin feature with changing symbols; massive multipliers in the free spins round; pay-outs both ways on pay lines; extra and expanding wilds. That’s a great set of extras, and entrance fee for this club starts at 25p per spin, rising to a big-winning £50.
Clubbing time!
The setup is supposed to be a DJ booth, naturally, but to be honest, this is a fairly standard looking machine. The clubbing vibe works better on the reels, where super-bright neon defines the symbols. They’re a standard set of fruit symbols, topped off with DJ accoutrements – decks, speakers, and headphones – as the high paying symbols.
The star of the show is the man behind the decks, Hardwell himself, whose rather anonymous features will land you as much as 10-times your stake for a full set. The wild is a big “wild” (working only on reels two and four) and the bonus is a big “bonus”, which isn’t the most imaginative use of graphics we’ve seen but is admirable for its simplicity.
The “bonus” symbols trigger the Hardwell Bonus round. That starts with 10 free spins, with an extra guessing game on the way in which you pick one of four symbols for a mystery bonus for your free spins round.

The extras for your reels in the Hardwell Bonus round are pretty impressive. Multipliers on prizes – triggered at random – boost prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times. A win in both ways does just what it sounds like it does. Wild Fruit turns a random low-paying symbol into a wild on the middle reel. And Expanding Wilds turns standard wilds into stacked wilds that fill reels.
This is where the big money will be won, especially if hit a retrigger with more bonus symbols, that offer up to 20 extra free spins with three of those upgrades on offer.
There’s still more to this party though, with a Super Spin feature in the standard game. This chucks in a locking symbol feature with respins continuing until the biggest win possible – including possible extra wilds – has been achieved. Hardwell slot game looks lovely and – of course – delivers an excellent soundtrack (if you like Hardwell’s style; if you hate electro house then hit mute) and a good user experience that’s easy to play.
