Diamond Tower Slot Game Review
How do you feel about the Saudi government and the superrich at the moment? Perhaps the idea of robbing the occupants of a sleek tower block with a branch in Jeddah appeals to you? If so, the 1,024 ways to win at Diamond Tower will be 1,024 ways to strike a blow! If you’re not interested in world affairs then you might just like the big-win potential and bonus features of this game from NYX (part of the SG group) and Lightning Box.
The Facts and Figures
This game came out in 2015 but has been holding up in popularity pretty well since then. One of the reasons for its relative longevity might be a 97% theoretical return to player, that is very generous. The medium variance keeps the maximum win relatively low at 10,000 coins, on stakes from 0.8 to 200 coins.
The 1,024 ways to win are set up on a five-by-four grid that players can access on all major platforms that support its JavaScript, Flash and HTML5 tech.
The Looks
Some of the graphics in Diamond Tower are showing their age a little. It’s by no means a bad looking game, but the controls are a little cramped and the lines not so clear as they might be in a 2018 game.
The hero of the game is a lady cat burglar – who looks like Hilary Clinton in a black catsuit to us – who is joined on the reel by a load of symbols of opulence and luxury.
Game controls are on a panel at the bottom of the screen, and bonus games open up new screens complete with animations.
The Diamond Tower Slot Game
The base game has a Hold n Spin function that opens with two diamond bonus scatters, locking bonuses in place for three respins that retrigger until all reels are locked and you trigger the main bonus.
The Break-In Bonus is the main extra game. It’s a choice game, giving you the chance to reveal diamonds (hooray!), or burglar alarms (boo! Acab, etc!). It’s a six-level game that awards up to 12 free spins with an eight times multiplier.
The spins start straight away, paying the multiplier you’ve earned on all winnings and using unique reels. You can retrigger the bonus sequence by locking the reels again.
The Rewards
A lot of symbols deliver the wins on Diamond Tower.
Nines pay 2-times stake for two, 5-times for three, 40-times for four, and 100-times for five. Tens pay from three symbols, rewarding players with 5, 40, and 100-times stake, jacks and queens pay the same. Kings and aces pay 5-times, 50 and 150.
The martini glass pays 50, 100, and 200-times stake. The dog pays 100, 200, and 500; speed boats, 150, 250, and 750; cards 10 (for two), 500, 1,000, and 2,000.
The diamond bonus pays 80 (for two), 200, 400, and 2,000 for five.
The Final Verdict
Will you get as rich as a successful high-rent burglar playing this elegant slot? You could do, and even if you don’t, we think this smart little game will give you an entertaining gaming session. The bonus rounds give another dimension to the play and the figures promise a relatively good return if luck goes your way. Break out the glass cutters and join the revolution!
