As far as NetEnt games go, Asgardian Stones slot isn’t quite up there with the software provider’s godly offerings. However, it does have the ability to give you a thrill, especially if you have more interest in graphics than you do quick and innovative gameplay.

Asgardian Stones slot machine definitely has the looks, but it could probably do with a little bit of work on its personality. The graphics on display within it are simply stunning and definitely remind us of some other games, especially the likes of ‘Secrets of the Stones.’ Truth be told, it is probably even more modern looking than that exciting game.

It’s a slot that is themed around the Norse Gods that have proven so popular in recent years, due to movies such as The Avengers and Thor. However, don’t expect the usual deity style symbols here, as it has more interest in the stone representations of the gods, than it does in their human figures.

All of the symbols are fun to watch in this game. However, we would have liked to see the colossal symbols appear a little more in our go. Another issue was, that unusually for NetEnt games, it was a little bit slow-moving at times – not that you will mind too much because it is such a beauty to look at.

Conclusion

All-in-all, NetEnt have created a game that looks the part but isn’t quite at the top in terms of gameplay. It appears to us that the greater portion of the effort in developing this game was placed in the graphics department, which is a pity because if it had the gameplay to match, then it could have been a genuine classic.

That being said, we have played far worse slots and it does give more than just a few ways to win. Overall, we would probably give Asgardian Stones a C grade – good enough to pass, but a place on the throne of casino slots is still a while away.
